Posted on Liveblogging the HBO Press Tour: The biggest turnout of the tour so far - a couple of hundred reporters - greets HBO honchos Richard Plepler and Michael Lombardo as they kick off the three-hour marathon. There’s a lot of blahblah about delays caused by the writers strike. Finally someone asks the extremely tan Plepler to explain once and for all how HBO managed to pass on “Mad Men,” from “Sopranos” writer Matthew Weiner.
